Africa is in Me

This collection is my way of bringing the continent back with me and inviting you into it.

While traveling through South Africa, I kept thinking about how deeply food, fabric, and home are intertwined. How the kitchen becomes a place of memory. Of lineage. Of care. The Diaspora Dinner Collection: South Africa was created from that place.

Each box includes a custom African print apron and oven mitt set, designed in collaboration with a South African fashion designer and produced in five carefully selected prints. Each print carries its own rhythm, its own story, and once they’re gone, they remain part of this moment in time.

You’ll also receive a custom seasoning blend inspired by the meals I cooked, the kitchens I stood in, and the flavors that stayed with me long after I left. It’s meant to be used generously, sprinkled into everyday cooking as a reminder that nourishment can be both grounding and expansive.

Tucked inside is a recipe card for an indigenous South African dish, reimagined to be 100 percent vegan. It’s an invitation to slow down, cook with intention, and experience the culture in a way that’s lived, not performed.

From the unboxing to the first meal you make, this collection is meant to feel like a passage. A bridge. A way of carrying South Africa into your own kitchen in a form that’s practical, beautiful, and rooted in story.

This collection is intentionally limited, not because of hype but because of care. Each piece was made with a specific moment in mind, and I wanted to honor that by keeping it intimate.
